How much will the filters cost and where can I get them when I run out?

A frescopod filter will cost approximately 6¢ - 9¢ each depending on quantity purchased. So, about $8 for 100, $20 for 300 & $30 for 500 filters. That’s about 1/10 the cost plastic pods. You will be able to buy filters directly on our website, and even sign up for auto-replenishment, so you never run out of filters, and save some money. Hopefully we can eventually get into your local stores & supermarkets as well :)

Is the coffee storage compartment mostly air-tight?

No one likes stale coffee. One of our top priorities for frescopod is having a coffee storage compartment that keeps your precious coffee fresh. The prototype you see in the video is not what the final “coffee drawer” will look like. The final product (what you get) will be at least mostly (99%) airtight. We’re shooting for 100% air-tight and hope we’ll get there!

The good thing is that the coffee storage (depending on how much coffee you drink) will last most people 6-12 days. Fresh coffee will be put in frequently and we will take measures to make sure your coffee stays fresh for at least that long.

What color will frescopod come in?

Eventually, we want to offer frescopod in a whole line of colors!

But.. for now in our early days we will have to decide on one color. You can see the frescopod prototype in white. We decided to go with white for the prototype, but we are deciding on the best color for the final product. White? Black? or Gray?

We decided it may be best to let our backers vote and choose which they like best! So in our next update we will post a link to where all backers can cast your vote on the color they like best, whichever gets the most votes wins!

Don’t reusable pods already exist?

Yes, reusable plastic pods exist, problem is they require a messy clean up. In fact, most people who try them end up going back to single-use plastic pods. Since the introduction of reusable pods, we’ve only seen single-use pod sales go up. If current refillable pods were a good alternative, shouldn’t we have seen single use sales go down? frescopod™ is unlike anything else currently available. Our mission is to get people to stop using single-use coffee pods, and NEVER go back.

Is frescopod compatible with the new "Keurig Plus" brewers?

Our rings are not currently compatible with the new “Plus” brewers with five holes, but we will be making rings in the near future that will be compatible with the “Plus” brewers. Near the end of 2021 those should be ready.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
